International Law: Our practice includes any type of legal problem that affects people across national borders and involves not only treaty law between nations, but also national law that affects international affairs. The focus of our firm's international law practice is primarily on business and trade matters such as customs and trade regulation; defense and prosecution of commercial litigation in which one or more parties is a foreign government or government-owned corporation; and tort claims on behalf of victims of international terrorism and other violations of international law.

Business & Commercial Law: Our attorneys provide a wide variety of services with an international focus to our business clients, from assisting in selecting the form of business entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, and employee relations to business dissolution.

We specialize in resolving and consulting on import-export issues that involve US trade sanction law for US businesses currently overseas or looking to invest overseas.

We also specialize in corporate risk assessment for firms contemplating doing business in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central Africa, and the Central Caucasus regions.

Commercial negotiations in a foreign country or with a foreign sovereign or one of its agencies is impracticable without knowing what options are at your disposal if a legal problem arises. Our litigation skills and experience allow the Perles Law Firm, P.C. to meet our clients' needs in this important area.

Litigation & Appeals: There are many ways to handle the various legal problems that arise in the course of commercial negotiations. Our firm is knowledgeable and conscientious about the important and expensive decision our clients are faced with when deciding whether to litigate. We provide a wide array of services to our clients whenever disputes with either individuals or commercial entities require courtroom advocacy.

An advantage our firm offers is the ability to prosecute a client's claim from the trial court level through any necessary appellate procedures. Our attorneys are admitted to practice in both state and federal courts and have handled civil appeals from the United States Court of Appeals to the Supreme Court.

Natural Resources Law: Natural resources law is a combination of state and federal statutes and regulations, local ordinances, and judicial decisions governing clean air practices, water pollution, hazardous and solid wastes, wetlands, and wild lands. Our lawyers assist clients to obtain required permits and comply with regulations and auditing principles to protect them from violations and penalties; advise them on hazardous waste cleanup and Superfund issues; and represent individuals and organizations in bringing actions where they believe a violation of any of these laws has occurred.
